The Salam Institute recently released its final report detailing the findings of its evaluation, which will be used to inform the future development of the project.  The following represent some of the key findings of this report.

ICRD officials conducted two faith-based reconciliation seminars in Cyprus in October 2007.  The first faith-based reconciliation dialogue was conducted October 21 – 24 at the Crown Resort Henipa Hotel in Larnaca in cooperation with the Islamic Studies Centre based in Damascus.  The second faith-based reconciliation seminar was conducted October 28 – 31 at the Atlantica Miramare Beach Hotel in Limassol in cooperation with Musalaha, based in Jerusalem.

On March 16-17, 2007 the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad and the Kashmir Institute of International Relations convened a gathering of concerned individuals in the International Kashmir Conference with the theme “Jammu & Kashmir Dispute: Models for Resolution”.

Brian Cox, Bassam Ishak, Dr. Mohammed Habash and Tahir Aziz conducted a faithbased reconciliation dialogue at Sednaya, Syria November 13 – 15, 2006 under the auspices of the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy based in Washington DC and the Islamic Studies Centre based in Damascus. 

The International Center for Religion & Diplomacy (ICRD) is honored to be working with selected madrasas in Pakistan to enhance the opportunities they provide for their students.

The recommendations below emerged from a conference that took place in March 2006 at which representative leaders of the American Muslim community met with U.S. security officials and foreign policy practitioners to explore ways to begin working together for the common good.
